Interfaith Scotland in schools has been given full training to be able to share their personal story of faith in an appropriate and meaningful way.
The training is essential to ensure that in the sharing of the diverse personal stories of faith there is no proselytising and no negativity towards other faith traditions. This engagement with school-age pupils allows school pupils the experience of engaging face to face with young people of faith in an informal and safe setting. This engagement is critical to overcome the narrow stereotyping of people from faith backgrounds and allows young people to see the power of positive diversity.
